Sunbelt Motivation Combines with Spear One
Industry leaders expand expertise in incentive travel, events, and sales channel engagement
DALLAS, TX, Jan. 2 – Two respected incentive industry leaders have joined together to strengthen their portfolio of services. On Wednesday, Dallas-based Spear One announced its merger with Sunbelt Motivation & Travel, a group incentive travel company.
The combination of operations expands Spear One’s expertise in incentive travel and offers Sunbelt’s client access to broader services including creative communications, promotional strategy, meeting planning, and non-travel incentives. The continued growth of Spear One demonstrates its creativity, flexibility, and effectiveness improving performance of employees, channel partners, and customers. Both companies’ operations and account teams will continue serving their respective clients.
Sunbelt Motivation & Travel was formed in 1980 by Bill Boyd, CMP, CMM, CITE. Boyd has been a generous leader in numerous industry organizations, including serving as International President of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and International President of the Society of Incentive Travel Executives (SITE).
In 1995, Boyd was named by Meeting News as one of the 25 Most Influential Persons in the meetings industry. In 2006, Boyd was honored for lifetime industry achievements and inducted into the Convention Industry Council’s (CIC) Hall of Leaders. While this merger represents Boyd’s retirement from Sunbelt, he will continue as owner and Chairman of Allied/PRA Dallas/Fort Worth, a full service destination management company.
